Folker of the Week: Sleigh Bells
It took me awhile to take a liking to Sleigh Bells’ record Treats but I finally made a breakthrough. I now see the brillance in this album, which puts them at top billing to be the Folker of the Week. Poison the Well is the band that introduced me into the world of hardcore back in high school and this is guitarist’s Derek E. Miller’s latest project.

The Dears In-Store This Saturday
This Saturday I will venture out to Fingerprints’ new location in Long Beach to check out The Dears in-store performance. I was fortunate enough to catch Minus the Bear’s in-store a few years ago at Fingerprints and I am hoping that this will be just as memorable. I have been wanting to see The Dears for quite some time now and I am pumped to finally track their live show down.

Folker of the Week: Florence + The Machine
Yesterday Apple revealed the details for the brand new iPad 2. If you watched the video that Apple released you might have noticed that it featured “Dog Days are Over” by Florence + the Machine. With how amazingly rad the new iPad is and with Florence’s recent performance at the Oscar’s, I must dub Florence + The Machine the Folker of the Week.
