Michael Kiwanuka brings soul and blues to the folk landscape. Kiwanuka was the musical guest on Conan awhile back and caught my attention and I finally got around to checking out his music. Chalk Kiwanuka up to another great musical find in 2012 and the Folker of the Week.

Here’s M. Ward’s performance of “Primitive Girl” on Conan last night.
I discovered this band just by roaming the interweb and it was a great find. Not to mention they have been added to amazing Sasquatch Music Festival lineup and I caught their performance on Conan the other night. Possibly one my best finds of 2011 so far.
She & Him performed “I Put a Spell on You” on Conan last night . They also had a dressing room session, w/ Conan on guitar, of the song “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.”
